The Favánë is a subterranean river that originates from the northern tip of Lake Pargemor. It also receives drainage from Orondir, a surface swamp. Traveling northward, the river cuts through the Sigan-Kûn cavern, where it is flanked by a fungal forest called Erochel. In the vicinity of the former farmlands tended by Mulun-Dûna, the river has been tainted by experiments with alien pixie dust, aimed at increasing plant yields and the population of Myconids for agricultural purposes.
Periodically, feywild fuses open in or near this river. These are the result of experiments utilizing alien pixie dust. Many of the alien plants, critters, and creatures roaming the riverbanks or swimming along it are natives of the distant world Kriav. Another consequence of the pixie dust was the sterilization of the local Myconid population. Today, those encountered across Greroch are descendants of those that came over from Kriav, or recent arrivals.
The Sahânzar serves as the breadbasket for the inhabitants of Cinazan. Similarly, the regions influenced by the Favánë, the fungal forest of Erochel and Sigan-Kûn, function as our own subterranean breadbasket.
