The rocky highland was crafted by the primordial deity Geb. Under the supervision of the Covenant, Geb opened a rift to another region of Bal-Kriav, transporting a piece of land from one part of the world to another. This was done in an effort to stop the Radullu Creep, a request made by Silvanus. Once adversaries in the Creation War, Geb and Silvanus, now uneasy allies in the Demon Spawn War, collaborated to halt the devastation caused by the Radullu Rift. Their actions went against the advice of some of Silvanus's Covenant peers, including Danzar-Khâl, who cautioned Silvanus.
Geb is a primordial entity, bearing the taint of Chaos within him. Whatever he brings forth will likely not align with one's desires.

The landmass's relocation to this region fulfilled Danzar-Khâl's prophetic words, as the expected latitudinal highland barrier was instead replaced by the opposite - a vast plateau of towering spires and shattered peaks stretching from north to south. This geographical arrangement is believed to have accelerated the development of the great Sinarag swampland.
