On 5 Temporal 941 HE, after years of negotiations with the Âkhi, drow settlers hailing from Belephant-Elebros established the settlement of Ilaleztice. Situated on the Buldapus Channel, a vital trade route to the heart of an ancient empire, Ilaleztice flourished into a prosperous city-state. However, it also harbored a darker aspect, as the city was required to fulfill slave quotas destined for the half-submerged cities of Blibdoolpoolp Bosom.

The climax of the Onyx Enmity War (915 - 920) was the draining of the Nermanis Sea. The cities of Ilaleztice and Sigatharkin were submerged for decades. The displaced residents of Ilaleztice sought refuge in drier lands. Some settled in the independent city-state of Mulun-Dûna, while most journeyed to the metropolis of Ghaundan.
