Lumnaar Hok, Vale Cross, is an ancestral ruin situated at the heart of Hiznaar Goz. Constructed during the Horgon Era by Kriistvrii crusaders devoted to Bahamut, it functioned as a sacred city-state for four centuries, contending with the southern hordes and disseminating civilization among the indigenous populace.

In the year 899 of the Horgon Era, the city of Vale Cross fell to the tyrannical rule of the Dragon Lord Balfroglemis. Many of the city's inhabitants were subsequently subjugated as slaves by the expansionist Dominion of Resalth, which held power over the region from 887 HE to 946 HE.

When the Zeymah'kein Empire conquered the Dominion of Resalth, Lumnaar Hok became one of its territories. Under novel administration, Lumnaar Hok served as the epicenter of cultural and scholarly illumination, occasionally proving a vexation in Zeymah'kein politics.

In the Third Dragon Wake (1575 HE - 1576 HE), Zeymah'kein's decline had significantly advanced. The once-prosperous city of Lumnaar Hok was reduced to ruin when an apocalypse dragon named Nidhogg was roused from a five-thousand-year slumber. Robbed of a blissful dream of mass destruction, Nidhogg unleashed his rage upon Lumnaar Hok, single-handedly decimating the city and nearly all of its inhabitants. While many perished not from the dragon's attacks, but when Nidhogg succumbed to the innumerable strikes of arrows, bolts from dragon ballista, magical assaults, and a few blows from handheld weapons, his blood spewed forth like liquid fire, raining down and scorching everything in its path. The ground that this blood touched became akin to the burning ichor gushing from Nidhogg's lifeless form, spreading throughout the shattered city and over a large portion of what would soon be known as the Burning Divide.

Even now, certain regions of the valley (Ag Krenok) and the remnants of Lumnaar Hok continue to smolder with the same intensity and heat as the day they were ignited.
