Nanyerien was once merely another smaller named forest within the great primeval forest Taurquion. This began to change after the High Wood Quake, which created feywild fuses linking the Underdark reaches of Kriav with areas beneath the Einreth Wasteland. It is believed that nature energy seeping through the forest from the Pyramid of Nature, combined with otherworldly energies bleeding through the rifts, weakened the fabric of the Web. This resulted in an Entropy Breach, where the energies of Chaos seeped into the area. The consequences were a strangely shaped landscape, as well as fauna, beasts, and animals taking on entropic properties. The people of Rúmil who once lived here also became entropic and far more independent than their ancestors. Today, they pledge allegiance to no one but their tribes, having abandoned the civilization of empires and cities in favor of a simpler, xenophobic, and carefree existence.
