In the heart of the Mughorz Valley, Kennel is an ancient stronghold constructed during the Demon Spawn War (89 GE - 269 GE). The structure was built by demons and Gnoll laborers under the command of Yeenoghu. When Yeenoghu was driven from the world of Bal-Kriav, several thousand gnolls remained at Kennel. Under the guidance of a primordial mastermind named Ingu'lumin, they would form the foundations of gnoll civilization.

As Kennel's population swelled, so too did the number of those departing for what they asserted to be coveted hunting grounds. They abandoned the city and the valley, renouncing Ingu'lumin's concept of centralized governance, reverting to what resembles an innate drive for many gnolls - a nomadic lifestyle where a pack of predators pursues the prey rather than cultivating it.

From the year 546 to the year 746, Kennel functioned as the capital of the Drugnod Dynasty. Subsequently, it served as the seat of power for the Yagamph Republic from 746 to 956.

The current ruler of Kennel is a demon named Yack-Leban. He governs the city and surrounding valley through thirteen death giant generals. Kennel serves as the abode of gnolls, goblins, giants, and other malevolent denizens.
