Ren-Jorusk, a charismatic pirate of the Second Epoch, established one of his most renowned pirate strongholds on the northern shores of Ma'Ohari. This pirate haven was constructed within a sheltered inlet boasting deep waters and the towering Glamvir peaks as a backdrop. The prime harbor location proved highly defensible against both naval and land assaults, while also offering safe refuge from the punishing storms that frequently battered Ma'Ohari's northern coasts. Upon Ren-Jorusk's passing, this pirate base was thereafter named in his honor.
By the 1300s, the town of Ren-Jorusk had become a thriving pirate refuge. It additionally functioned as the confederacy headquarters for the Pirate Lords.
In the year 1796, the second year of the Burterinii-Bloodtusk War (1795 - 1800), Ren-Jorusk was liberated from the Bloodtusk Regime. By accord of the Burterinii-Buccaneer Alliance, it was then entrusted to the Pirate Lords.
The principal houses of worship in the city are consecrated to deities whose dominions hold some appeal for pirates. These include two sea gods, Poseidon and Tempestant, as well as the god of fortune, Lukoon.
