Rumakarrûs was founded by a devoted sect of Athena worshipping soldiers. These veteran warriors of the Athenian Crusade (1539 - 1551) held a more militant perspective of Athena's tenets and tended to have strained relations with other Athena sects in the southern Lands of Purity. In 1560, they commenced construction on their new headquarters, which is now the city of Rumakarrûs.
Situated on the Bog Sea, Rumakarrûs has long engaged in trade with the Clans. The completion of the Hîngar-Hloth canal resulted in a significant boost in Rumakarrûs's trade revenues and population growth. Following the Buruthran War (1824 - 1829), Rumakarrûs became the capital of the Divine Empire.
The growth of the city has long surpassed the confines of its grand fortifications. The outer walls, towers, temples, and other significant edifices are all gradually being refurbished with a hallowed stone known as the Tears of Achamâz.
Rumakarrûs is predominantly inhabited by Tragarans, Theegans, and Eenkai.
