Situated amidst the towering canopies of Cimgen, Tasartir originated as a supply depot for Covenant forces engaged in the seemingly endless battles of Regadnîn. It subsequently evolved into a thriving marketplace and administrative center, as an increasing number of individuals sought the protection of the Covenant. However, after the region's primordial threat was neutralized, many residents departed Tasartir, following the army to the next front. By the conclusion of the Creation War, spanning from 1486 DE to 8777 DE, Tasartir had become an overgrown ruin.
In the Turgon Exodus (13 - 25), the majority of Celanil's populace escaped by sea. The Akthol-Tharag, longstanding trading partners of the Celanil, welcomed their people, providing sanctuary as many resettled in the verdant vales of the Elephant Backbone, where they had their pick of ancient Covenant ruins. In the Year 15, Tasartir was reclaimed and repopulated by the Celanil.
In the year 296, several hundred dissatisfied Tasartirs departed for new territories, determined to establish their own domain based on traditional practices and the precepts outlined in the Gwildath Bureaucratic Codices. Two years later, in 298, they founded the settlement of Andrithiach.
With a musical lineage tracing back to the prestigious Gwildath conservatories on Kriav, Tasartir is renowned for its esteemed musical and bardic institutions.
