In 1319, the Paradomea Syndicate welcomed nearly 20,000 githyanki refugees arriving from Vith Niigol. To the Har'kish Empire, these refugees, who had broken away during the Har'kish Civil War (1292 - 1312), were subjects that needed to be returned to the empire for judgment. However, when the githyanki fell under Paradomea's protection, the Har'kish Empire backed down, as the refugees had been assembled into a new military unit known as the Githlarâk.
From a military background, the unit was already seasoned in combat and hardened for battle. They exhibited unwavering loyalty, strictly adhering to orders, and suppressing riots and civil unrest with relentless efficiency. The unit's unwavering discipline, thirst for combat, devotion to command, combined with superior firepower, ultimately rendered them Paradomea's most formidable Military force.
