In 446 LE, the strongholds of Thur Gilc, Rolipoon, and other Tragaran domains, coalesced under the Tilnangau Republic. Over the ensuing five centuries, the Tilnangau came to command all of Gurutharni, extending their influence as far east as Mughakh-Gol and westward to the banks of the Ralban river.
In 944 LE, with the collapse of Rolipoon, the Tilnangau Republic capitulated to the governance of Varelay (684 LE - 2620 LE), becoming a mere vassal state with a purely ceremonial existence.
