The Third Imrabêl War resulted in the subjugation of Imrabêl's minotaurs. Approximately five thousand were transported back to the First Khazarkar Empire, where they were compelled to toil in mines, forges, and other arduous occupations.

Nearly four centuries later, on 12 War March 785, the First Khazarkar Empire was rocked by what became known as the Great Minotaur Revolt. The minotaurs commenced a prolonged campaign of civil unrest and insurgency. Many of them fled into the mountains and swamps, while the non-combatants migrated westward into Azrik. Those who remained behind engaged in a guerilla struggle with the Khazarkars for their liberty.

In 796, the First Khazarkar Empire consented to peace terms. They concluded the practices of the Minotaur Cultural Edict, liberating the minotaurs from bondage. The freed minotaurs traveled westward to Azrik. In this region, they divided into two groups. Those more inclined to reconstructing minotaur civilization journeyed northward into the Carodrak Mountains where they established Ilfongrak. The more belligerent minotaurs, with little interest in settling, building, and farming, went to the lowlands south of Merorarg where they founded Bâlê. From this encampment, they raided Merorarg's frontier. In war councils, they greedily discussed methods to seize their neighbor's lands and riches.
