This guild was established during the First Epoch by an adventuring band known as the Scions of Loziik'vun. As proselytizers of Loziik'vun, they founded this guild to instruct others in the Path of Yolos Paagoliik. It bears the name Enkii, the Draconic word for Ember. When the guild's headquarters relocated to Paradomea City, they became more commonly referenced by the Tragaran translation of Enkii, or Embers. In the Aerie of Dragons, where Draconic is widely spoken, the guild retains the name Enkii.

Early in the Second Epoch, the Embers and three other guilds that instructed this form of fire magic established tenets on restricting who could teach the Path of Yolos Paagoliik. Those not affiliated with these guilds who instructed this magical path were branded as adversaries of the followers of the Path of Yolos Paagoliik.

Embers is a guild for invokers. Its mages are trained in the Path of Yolos Paagoliik and schooled in the art of warfare. These arcane practitioners are highly coveted by battlefield commanders. Indeed, since the guild's establishment, its mages have been decorated with accolades in numerous battles and conflicts waged across the southern expanse of Brucrumus.

Guild members are at liberty to venerate any deity, yet those of the Aerie of Dragons customarily pay homage to Tiamat. The guild encompasses a range of moral alignments and attitudes amongst its members. These dispositions span from neutral and virtuous adherents in the Lands of Purity to those of a chaotic and malevolent nature in Korbortun.
