Azaela is the commander of the Vulon Viing, a sect dedicated to the Vith Alok dragon cult. In 1494, Vith Alok's Dragon Headmaster, the lich Drog'paagol, charged her with enhancing the operations and morale of those stationed at Phanaca.
When not thwarting the schemes of the Witch Horde and the Divine Empire, Azaela dispatches emissaries to liaise with dragons and entice them with the possibility of transforming into a dracolich.
Azaela is renowned for her keen intellect, cunning nature, and captivating charm. Transcending her alluring physical beauty, she demonstrates mastery of diverse subjects, fluently conversing in seven tongues. Within her palace in Phanaca, she maintains a well-appointed harem of comely males, catering to both her vampiric requisites and erotic indulgences. She shares a distinct affinity with the Kriavfahliil. Safeguarding her harem are eunuch vampire spawn, all possessing the expertise of accomplished monks.
For countless years, she held Prince Kelthin of Rúmil captive within the confines of the Cells of Ten Thousand Shackles. She regularly visited him during her nocturnal excursions, arriving in a wispy, gaseous state and adorned in a transparent gown, ruby and emerald-encrusted garters, and regal jewelry befitting a princess. Like many before him, Kelthin's resolve was ultimately shattered, seduced into becoming a vampire.
