Ingegenn is a chaotic entity possessing the remarkable ability to house multiple independent brains within a single corporeal form. He belongs to a class of chaos aberration known as Ura'yah, a term meaning "thinker". The brains occupying his body operate autonomously, yet collectively strive to advance their own agendas as well as those of any entities they serve. Ura'yah acquire new brains by absorbing them from their prey. These brains are selected based on the presence of a distinctive trait in the individual, ensuring no duplication of existing faculties within the host body.

In the Cinazan Front, Ingegenn served under Drachmon. He possessed three distinct mental facets: Dominance, Quiet, and Sarcastic. One of his strategies in this conflict was to seize control of the mind of Raxcvillibus Dumu-loc. During their initial hostile encounter, Sarcastic was slain, his soul consumed by the Rax's sword Grarg.

A runner hastens away, and moments later, a resounding pop echoes from outside the tent. Guarding the general's tent stand two sentries who, like Anutrax, are colossal stone giants. One appears sculpted from basalt, the other from sandstone. If unclothed and positioned beside the corresponding stones, they would seamlessly blend in. The guards are accustomed to Ingegenn's teleportative ability. They cast a languid gaze upon the levitating cerebral mass, the size of four compressed goblins, as it drifts between them. Both hold their breath, narrowing their eyes in defiance, as the pungent, androgynous entity passes.

He yearns for the triad of that erstwhile entity - several minds in one, myriad personas within a single form, formidable in psychic prowess, yet with a surfeit of ambition to spearhead. Ingegenn had elucidated his undertaking, affirming that physical discomfort gradually numbs. One can only inflict so much before the subject's psyche begins shielding itself; yet psychological trauma remains relentless.

The mentalist brains that compose Ingegenn either join with this skill or acquire it from those already within the body. The gentler psyche, such as the one named Quiet, is consistently the most potent of the other psyches that comprise the whole.

... he (Dominance) receives no response (from Quiet), but he knows that the more powerful mind rests longer with Dormancy. He decides it is time to inform the superior officer about the recent events and seek counsel. He reaches out to Drachmon, his mental link locating him at the core of Sapthiladân, standing in the shadow of the Entropy Arch. Drachmon gazes northward, admiring the effects of Chaos : a series of mountains severed from their bases, floating in the sky (what becomes known as Skyldr-Kerthjorg ). He smiles, for this is a favorable portent.
