Etteir was constructed by the worker legions of Orr-Krurn and Cari'phis. During the Creation War (1486 DE - 8777 DE), these two primordials battled the Nawirrûs Covenant for dominance over the Gorejun continent. With its substantial harbor on the Bay of Grek, Etteir served as a launching point for maritime invasions. The most renowned vessel type constructed here is the Grimsuvelth Trawler.

The massive coastal ruin of Etteir, built by giants for giants, is the size of present-day Paradomea City with its million-plus population. Once the tip of the spear for a primordial invasion, Etteir became a repository for elemental motes. Air and earth motes were employed in the construction of fortified sky isles, supporting great towering ceilings and bridges that defy gravity. Water motes, heavier than the surrounding seawater, were used in dredging the Bay of Grek, pulled by dozens of water elementals.

At the core of the ruin lies a sizable hospital/laboratory that Orr-Krurn utilized for tests and experiments aimed at enhancing the capabilities of the chaos archons, giants, and any other subjects available to him. One of his more renowned accomplishments was the creation of a two-headed giant, descended from Earth Giant stock, which Orr-Krurn facetiously dubbed Etteirs; now better known as the Ettin.

In 6985 DE, Etteir was assailed by the Covenant legions of Danzar-Khâl and Sathel. Following three months of fierce conflict both on land and at sea, Etteir was ultimately conquered by the Nawirrûs Covenant.

When the Creation War concluded, Etteir became the dwelling place for earth giants, ettins, and other vanquished primordial minions. During the Lith-Crillion Era, fleeing ettin warlords vying for dominion over the city prompted numerous earth giants aboard Grimsuvelth Trawlers to relocate to the distant shores of the Aerie of Dragons.
