This Pyramid of Power is situated at the headwaters of the Spinnaker, overlooking the Khimrathil Valley where it joins the Zendanul jungle. The pyramid was constructed in 540 LE by Knudmid serving under the Lith-Crillion. The course of research at this Pyramid of Power was determined by the region's predatory plants and dense vegetation.
The Catacombs: Subterranean Anti-Nature
While the magnificent interior of the upper pyramid is adorned with ivory and statues, the catacombs are a grim reflection of the Lith-Crillion's research into inflicting harm upon fey and flora.
- Varelay Sewer Integration: The Yuan-ti founders of Sakullêth originally connected the pyramid's lower drainage to their ancient sewer systems, creating a massive, lightless network.
- The Ghoul Hive: Occupied by Pyrmidian Ghouls from the year 1799, these levels serve as a specialized barracks for Belgunth's elite undead guards.
- Biological Null-Zones: The catacombs contain Lith-Crillion labs designed to isolate and wither predatory plants, now repurposed by Blighters to concoct toxins and potions.
- The Sacrifice Wells: Deeper shafts were used during the seizure of the pyramid to dispose of the thousands of Sussgurd and undead sacrificed to claim the prize.
Lower Levels Environment
- Atmospheric Decay: Unlike the ornate tiles above, the lower levels are damp and permeated by the scent of the nearby Zendanul jungle's decay, leaking through the Spinnaker headwaters.
- Ivory Vaults: Beneath the upper halls, the ghouls guard raw stockpiles of trophies taken from the massive elephants of the region.
The Wither-Blight Lab
Deep within the Biological Null-Zones, the Pyrmidian Ghouls and their Blighter allies have repurposed Lith-Crillion technology to create specialized chemical and magical weapons.
- Primary Objective: To develop a potent anti-nature agent specifically designed to penetrate the hyper-charged cellular walls of the Zendanul giants and mega-flora.
- The "Mêzel-Blight" Formula: A specialized toxin that reverses the effects of the Mêzelurûs sacrifice, causing rapid dehydration and cellular collapse in any organism fueled by pure nature energy.
- Experimental Vats: The lab features massive, ivory-rimmed vats where Sussgurd prisoners are often exposed to varying concentrations of the blight to test its efficacy on "nature-touched" flesh.
- Aerosol Delivery: The Blighters are currently working on a method to utilize the Spinnaker's natural mists to carry the blight deep into the jungle canopy without the need for a physical invasion force.
Blight-Canisters
To facilitate the deployment of the Mêzel-Blight, the Blighters have manufactured specialized containment units known as Blight-Canisters.
- Construction: Forged from acid-resistant alloys scavenged from the Lith-Crillion labs and reinforced with treated Sussgurd hide, these canisters are designed to withstand the high pressure of the aerosolized toxin.
- Deployment: Typically mounted on wagons or carried by ogre-sized undead, the canisters feature dispersal valves that release the blight as a heavy, clinging mist.
- Vulnerability: Despite their sturdy construction, the resistance has discovered that the valve mechanisms are susceptible to blunt force, a weakness exploited by Brak-Zul's raiders.
