Alrostild is a magnificent fey forest situated in the northern region of Brucrumus. It is home to thousands of Satyrs, Sprites, Centaurs, and other fey beings. The inhabitants of Alrostild are traditionalists and do not consider wood elves to be true fey, thus prohibiting them from establishing any form of residence within the forest. Furthermore, the fey of Alrostild are xenophobic, and unwelcoming to non-fey travelers seeking passage or visitation. The people of Seven Vales have long grappled with the mischievous and criminal activities of Alrostild's denizens, including robbery and other petty offenses. Additionally, there have been instances of wars sparked by the desire for trade. Occasionally, the city-states of the Seven Vales have emerged victorious from these conflicts, enabling them to reopen old trade routes that were lost in previous wars. These routes have provided access to trade with Ithengee, the Khazarkar Empire, and other eastern trade centers. During the periods when the roads are open, trade flourishes, but eventually, the trade is forced to shift to the river Jhernarth, which cuts through the forest. The river is typically safer from fey attacks, but its swift and turbulent waters pose their own challenges. It has often been considered safer to traverse the roads, even under the threat of fey attacks, rather than risk the dangers of the river.
Like other regions contiguous to the Jara territories, Alrostild endures its fair share of pillage and carnage. The fiercest confrontations occur in the southern reaches, north of the Isterian range. This domain hosts several organizations founded exclusively to combat the nomadic, warmongering Jara who travel northward through the Tamoroc before proceeding eastward into Maranwë Tîwele and beyond on raids that may transpire over many years.
