Maranwë Tîwele, roughly translated as Stinger Meadows from Elvish, is a grassland northwest of the Core Sea. In 1028, a Tragarn botanist named Hantar Kast visited this area. He had come north to secretly determine the source of grapes for a particular wine, sponsored by a Kal-Oni noble house interested in bringing the wine "in-house". His party followed the Foronir River and crossed lands where High Orc was becoming the common language, making their way through Grashakh into Cinazan. It was a perilous journey in the then-wild lands. Two years after they started, the party was found hiding in the ruins of a place called Rabaranda. Elves from Séregon, part of the Ithengee empire, rescued the beleaguered group from marauding frost giants, taking them back to the empire. Hantar convinced his rescuers that he was on a botanical study mission, and they allowed him to continue, occasionally sending out parties to check on the party's well-being, though they never stayed long or harried them, as the camp at the edge of Maranwë Tîwele was in a very dangerous place. Harvesting grapes for the Kal-Oneans' so-called Melora's Tear wine or honey for Thralion was done under certain conditions, usually at night and without light sources, magic to conceal scent, and magic to silence movement.

If we adhere to the definition of a meadow, then this is no meadow, but a veritable floral expanse of such immense proportions that its equal cannot be found throughout the entirety of Midrêth.

Maranwë Tîwele resembles an expansive meadow, densely populated with towering plants, vibrant flowers, and lush grass. The soil is unusually fertile, resulting in growth rates ten times the norm. The vegetation's size ranges from five to twenty times greater than typical. The dense foliage is so thick that we inadvertently stumbled upon a slumbering dragon, whose low growl promptly redirected us elsewhere. The rich, at times overpowering, fragrance of the abundant flowers can be detected for miles beyond these floral domains. On any given day, tens of thousands of giant bees and millions of their smaller counterparts can be observed. Additionally, the area harbors less amiable creatures, such as archer bushes and carnivorous trapper plants.

Hantar Kast, the renowned botanist of the Second Epoch, excerpt from one of his journals - "Dangerous Beauty"

Hantar was to learn from a Kriavfahliil student of botany, brimming with Thralion, that Maranwë Tîwele is a product of inter-world contamination; its soil somehow enriched with dust and debris from the Dûlan-Nûl Firestorm. The student then spoke of the Atlas Footfalls in the north, and that in their vicinity, one may discover plants foreign to our realm.
