Built during the Bone Arrow Campaign (1467 - 1470), the Black Athroond Road branches off from the Sorrow Road. Incredibly costly to construct, this road was painstakingly carved through solid rock using magic and skeletal laborers, necessitated by the demands of the city-state of Celebriän, owners of much of the Gwaeldior Forest. Indifferent to the pleas and threats of warmongering adventurers turned nation heads, the armies of the Black Tide were forced to circumvent the forest. Financed by a vast war chest amassed through years of adventuring and constructed by a tireless force of undead laborers, the road descends into Moregar and the lightless reaches of Drarthiel, extending northwest for a hundred miles, passing the Fodder Mine, the ruins of Kuzrûnn'n, and numerous lesser-known sites. Thirty miles west of Kuzrûnn'n, the road turns eastward, spiraling back up to the surface and emerging from the ruined fortress of Targind-Nal, where it reconnects with the Sorrow Road.
