Map Cimgen Forest

The evergreens of Cimgen, impervious to fire, stretch across the vales and slopes of the Elephant Backbone. Once a typical evergreen forest, war catalyzed profound transformation through the efforts of Covenant druids and a Creationist named Bal-Kriav, who bolstered the forest with nature energy. This empowered the trees to grow massive and remarkably hardy, with sprawling root systems capable of penetrating the hardest rock, and trunks exceeding 100 feet in diameter and towering 900 feet or more.

In the Creation War (1486 DE - 8777 DE), segments of Cimgen's intricate root system served as a Covenant bulwark against the onslaught of Primordial forces emerging from the Regadnîn Wastes. During the many arduous battles in Regadnîn, hundreds of trees were destroyed through various means. Yet, despite their demise, these remarkably hardy and fire-resistant trees were repurposed to construct Covenant outposts, supply depots, hospitals, bunkers, barracks, storage facilities, and eventually even dwellings. Today, half of these structures lie in ruin, obscured by overgrowth or consumed by the very trees they once supported.

The ancient road network of the continent resides within the canopy of Cimgen. Referred to as the Covenant Roads, it is an expansive system of pathways traversing vine bridges, spanning colossal branches, and winding through trees meticulously sculpted by artifice and sorcery.
