The valley north of Erchinor is marked on Khazarkar maps as the Idân, though it remains more widely known as Frinnir, a name given by the giants of the Gadstill Dynasty. Observing the valley's distinctive bluish glacier, reminiscent of those found in the Ice Cap region, they named it after a ravenous general who once served under Thyrm.
The settlement of Frinnir lies nestled between the expanse of the Core Sea and the imposing Fangs of Steirgar. Carved by the runoff from its glacier and the surrounding peaks, the valley is crisscrossed by countless streams. It is precisely due to these numerous water crossings and the sheer ruggedness of the terrain that most opt to utilize the Core Sea for transportation and trade.
In the Cinazan Front, a major confrontation occurred between the Khazarkar Empire and the Flux Pact. The prolonged presence of the Horde of Chaos transformed the landscape. Warped by entropic energies, the area became a Chaos Ruin. The hills are misshapen, the boulders twisted into unnatural forms, and certain streams are discolored or emit a pungent or alluring scent.
