The First Khazarkar Empire initiated the Hedrac War, one of the series of conflicts known as the Domination Wars (995 - 1016). This war arose from Borillisk's refusal to permit missionaries of the Set faith into their empire. At the time, the ruling government of the First Khazarkar Empire was a magocracy called the Eldritch Conclave. While not supporters of state religion, the Conclave collaborated with the Church out of pragmatic necessity, seeking the Church's financial resources.
The Hedrac war raged across the verdant Alêth Forest, the frozen expanse of the Vale of Hedrac, and into the icy reaches of the Barândîr glacier. The Khazarkar secured a strategic advantage by blockading the valleys and passes, steadily forcing Borillisk's people to retreat towards the city of Lanirûk.
On 12 Lunar 999, the Borilliskin government, re-established at Cerebrum, ratified the Hedrac Treaty. As per this peace accord, unfettered passage was granted to those who wished to depart, and for nine years, Borillisk pledged to withhold support from any parties antagonistic to the Khazarkar Empire.
