The sole objective of this assassin guild is the eradication of those following Thasmudyan and the Black Tide. This group emerged from the atrocities committed by the Black Tide during and after the fall of Gravestone Gates. Prior to its sacking in the Siege of Gravestone Gates, this location was the largest and most influential church to Hades within Hells Womb.
A century following the Black Tide War (1465 - 1486), it was discovered that the Council of Nine had secretly funded the operations of this entity.
Every member of the Gray Matrix above level 7 is armed with a Hades Hand dagger. This blade commonly contains 2-5 potent necromantic spells. The guild maintains priests of Hades who act as spiritual advisers. Additionally, the organization's ranks include necromancers who concentrate on spells to combat undead entities.
The Alluvium Incident (cf. Alluvium Deep) saw Gray Matrix deployed by the Alluvium Wardens to eliminate members of House Hannanâtha.
