Sanagar-Umlâs is a disease-propagating cult established during the reign of the Kal-Oni. This sect was founded by previous adherents of Bralda-Balc and is one of the most loathed and despised cults within the realm.
The famine and disease propagated by Sanagar-Umlâs claim more lives than the wars they join as a subsidiary purpose or succeed, compounding the ills upon an already enfeebled and demoralized populace.
Saint Cathandril, from a sermon at Krumisbar - "Cherished Abyss Cultists"
In the year 1420, the Paradomean Empire and the Council of Bile outlawed the Sanagar-Umlâs cult from the Hells Womb region. This decision was prompted by several disastrous plagues attributed to the cult's practices. The displaced cult members fled westward into the Lands of Purity, where they offered their services to the Ningizzida Empire. They established a base of operations in the city of Sinarag. However, the Tragarans, the original founders of the cult, soon perished at the hands of rival Yuan-ti and Lorhazi groups, who sought to steer the cult down a darker path.
By the 1700s, cells of Sanagar-Umlâs had once more begun to disseminate disease throughout the Hells Womb, concomitantly securing a stronghold within the Aerie of Dragons.
Sanagar-Umlâs is responsible for orchestrating the initial rat swarm and plaque spewer. They boast a multitude of these monstrous entities safeguarding their headquarters and likely several more securing the regional cells. The cult's racial composition fluctuates depending on the geographical location.
