Grimrock Kigorarg was a priest of Gruumsh and former soldier of Fograth. He was demoted from impaler to trooper after he eliminated an officer in a "friendly fire" incident. Consequently, he was assigned to Penal Battalion 321. This battalion is composed of former Fograth soldiers incarcerated for a range of infractions, including theft, alcoholism, homicide, and insubordination.
Penal Battalion 321 is a unit composed of imprisoned individuals, led by their fellow prisoners. Our unit endured the highest mortality rate, as well as one of the highest kill counts during the battles of Hungrur and the surrounding territories. We engaged the Bloodbeards in combat and subsequently donned their stained facial hair as macabre trophies.
Grimrock, excerpt from "Prisoner to Admiral"
In this unit, Grimrock encountered Niras, Nox, Drog, and Junkel. Upon completing their service, they transitioned to the life of adventurers, establishing a party and later becoming the board of directors for Crimson Eye.
In 1798, Grimrock orchestrated the downfall of the Resurrected Khan and dispersed the Horde of Steel Monger. Two years later, in 1800, Crimson Eye eradicated the alien infestation plaguing Citho-Cûr. The abundance of cannons and void craft recovered from this location earned Crimson Eye widespread renown across the realm, and also led to significant advancements in voidship technology for the Orchish Empire.
When not on expeditions, he commanded the air force of Crimson Eye's army. Grimrock's talents in astrogation and voidship engineering led to numerous speaking engagements across Midrêth. He was repeatedly cautioned by the Batanullêth to cease these discussions with other empires and powers of the realm.
In 1821, Grimrock delivered a captivating address at the Stellar Debates, Meeting 902. Tragically, on the journey home, Grimrock and all aboard the Gruumsh Avenger were killed when they were ambushed above the towering jungle of Kamoni. No fewer than a dozen Tyrant Orbs, emblazoned with the banner of Abhômaipeth, were lying in wait for the Gruumsh Avenger, the attack proving decisive and devastating.
They were aware of his flight trajectory and the vulnerabilities of the Gruumsh Avenger. This is the work of the Batanullêth. They collaborated with the Court of One Hundred Eyes, and provided intelligence to the Abhômaipeth. A distinguished imperial hero has been eliminated, and a council leader has been slain. It is time to inform the empire of our influence. Tomorrow, I shall contact Drog'paagol and convey our interest in his plan.
