Pelhurn originated in Nonvul Vahraniik, a dragon nursery of Fathom Two. Pelhurn, a Diiv Kiir, is descended from an Eenkai mother and a male gold dragon. At the age of 16, he ventured forth.
The paladin Phelhurn engaged in numerous conflicts against the Nemegral. In one such encounter, he vanquished a War Troll but sustained dire life-level depletion from a remarkably potent wraith. Tragically, he was unable to reach a cleric in time, and this depletion became irreversible.
On garrison duty at Helmstar, Pelhurn engaged the Theegans of the Witch Horde. During the epic siege, he slew fifty barbarians before being struck down by a lightning bolt from the Theegan witch Hazelbrow. With a shattered arm and tattered wings, Pelhurn rose and hurled his blessed sword of Athena into the witch, causing Hazelbrow to plummet from the battlements. Pelhurn moved in for the kill, only to be met by a pair of babau demons, who swiftly slew him and left his battered corpse for the vultures.
Helmstar was liberated by the armies of good. When Saint Cathandril of Fortress Krumisbar learned of Pelhurn's valiant stand, he was raised from the dead. Pelhurn went on to fight many more battles in the Buruthran War (1824 - 1829). He would perish again in the Battle of the Immaculate Sigil, succumbing once more to the arcane blasts of a Witch Horde leader. Pelhurn met his end in a violent conflagration, his agonized cries echoing across the battlefield as he charged, aflame, burning to death. Yet, from the center of a meteor swarm, he emerged to embrace the witch who had hurled the spell, and they both perished in each other's arms. The sight of this heroic charge inspired his allies, and a chant rose across the lines, "Pelhurn, Pelhurn, Pelhurn." The rabble of Theegans, their demonic minions, and gnoll mercenaries were driven from the field of battle.
Pelhurn was once more resurrected, but this time not by a human, but by the famed solar Galtrag. Advancing onto the battlefield with his pennon unfurled and his sword Manjular aimed at Pelhurn's lifeless form, a dazzling luminescence emanated from the blade, and Pelhurn drew breath once more.
After this divine resurrection by Galtrag, Pelhurn returned to the Cathedral of the Triumvirate (c.f. Krumisbar) where he was assigned to join Zhut's Explorers.
