The Glacial Throne is a potent artifact housing the soul of the Nithian mage Igacin. This Tamlêrran mage engaged in a prolonged conflict with his stepsister Anube to govern territories in southwestern Magrâbik.
Growing weary of minor altercations, Igacin diverted his resources toward constructing an imposing artifact. A replica of these schematics soon fell into the possession of his sister Anube's operatives. This precipitated the building of the Pumice Throne. Legends claim the siblings descended into madness during the creation of these formidable relics.
Drawing on the essence of Crybhox, Igacin empowered his throne. This imbued it with potency but lacked direction. As his mortal existence neared its end, Igacin, yearning to perpetuate their game, transferred his psyche into the throne. This rendered it sentient, providing it with guidance. When his sister followed suit, infusing her Pumice Throne with her own psyche, the Thrones War ( 751 - present) with his sibling commenced. Igacin's inaugural act from within the Glacial Throne was the opening of the Indraph Rift.
The Glacial Throne is constructed from Tolm, an immovable substance located a mile within a glacier at the core of the sprawling ice city of Indraph. The ruler of this city, Artaxertus, is heavily influenced by the sentience of the Glacial Throne.
Individuals who occupy this throne or enter the throne chamber will in all probability be subjugated, consequently becoming subordinates to the Glacial Throne.
