Tal'tich was established early in the Lith-Crillion Era by the Auhtai. Similar to numerous other areas within the Hive Region, it was left desolate by the voracious Hive Swarms.

In 201, Tragarans hailing from Lanirûk explored this ancient ruin. The most notable discovery was crystal obloids containing the psyches of Auhtai individuals seeking to extend their consciousness indefinitely. These Auhtai Obloids proved instrumental in awakening the psionic potential within individuals, transforming Lanirûk and later the Borillisk Empire into centers of psionic education and research.

In 341, Khazarkar explorers discovered preserved Auhtai eggs in what had become a wetland ruin. Unlike when the Tragarans explored the area, finding a desolate region devoid of life, the Khazarakars found the ruin bordering an area rich in vitality. The druidically engineered wetland and the ruin were under the watch of the Gwaelergoth Circle, an order of druids who had been battling the insect swarms of the region for thousands of years. They often blamed explorers for inciting the region's insects, transforming them into Hive Swarms. Against the advisement of the Circle's druids, the Khazarkar explorers transported Auhtai eggs back to Akann'ndâb. After alchemists successfully incubated them, they were relinquished to the Athirbêni's special weapons division.
