In the Demon Spawn War (89 GE - 269 GE), the mountain stronghold of Thadir functioned as the command center for the Hammers of Khage. Constructed when the Covenant maintained close dragon allies, Thadir boasts grand halls and balconies where sizable dragons can traverse with ease and take flight into the wind.
Strategically positioned, Thadir overlooks the three southern passes of Broken Hoof Vale. During the Hoof Front (215 GE - 230 GE), Thadir and the other fortifications of the Viiz Bo Rei guarded against the demonic hordes of Orcus.
Orcus coveted the Aerie solely to flank the advance of Demogorgon into Lirgaza and Inirthak. He never fully committed to the entire conflict, aiming merely to vex the schemes of the demon lords and battle the angelic armies whenever they obstructed his path.

After Orcus was defeated, Thadir became the central base of operations for two divisions of the Nonvul Viing. As the conflict shifted away from the Aerie of Dragons, Thadir was relegated to serving as a hospital and training ground for inexperienced soldiers.
At the conclusion of the Demon Spawn War (89 GE - 269 GE), Thadir became the new domain of the Khage.
By the onset of the Horgon Era, Thadir boasted a population of 160,000 tax-paying citizens. These individuals were dispersed across the vales and their fertile volcanic farmlands, as well as throughout the hills and peaks of Tu Naar and into the subterranean realms below. The designation "Thadir Mining State" is occasionally used to describe the settlements built by Thadir's clans, modest in the beginning but later transforming into great holds and city-states such as Gruordock, Gulud-Turam, and Stalag.
The March of Resalth (898 HE - 933 HE) concluded with the conquest of Thadir by the dragon soldiers of the Resalth forces following a prolonged two-year siege.
Haunted by the ethereal dragons of Feykro Silon, Thadir is a domain inhabited solely by preternatural creatures and individuals of virtuous purpose.
