In the Faeglor Front (228 GE - 261 GE), the forces of Geb clashed with the legions of a demon lord known as Zuggtmoy. A grim fate awaited those captured, for they were either consumed, transformed into fertilizer, or condemned to toil in the dreaded mines of Siolix. This region, laced with veins of deep rock, proved lethal to many and mutated others. One such mutation gave rise to the Fomorian, a new sub-race of earth giants that emerged from Siolix.
In the year 259 of the God Era, the fomorian champion Borri Slarek spearheaded a rebellion against the demon lord Zuggtmoy. Two years subsequent, wielding the mighty Quake hammer, Borri succeeded in banishing Zuggtmoy back to her abyssal home world. The Fomorian populace loyally followed Borri until his passing, but without a clear successor, they ultimately fractured into disparate groups and dispersed.
The Fomorian are credited with crafting the inaugural Spriggan from captive Svirfneblin subjected to deep rocks.
