Ink'ar was one of the inaugural nine mortals of the Shou race. He persevered beyond his customary lifespan due to mystical tonics provided by his creator and beloved, Zhusalax.
In the Demon Spawn War ( 89 GE - 269 GE ) , Ink'ar held a position on the command staff of Asmdoeus, and subsequently served as part of the general staff of the Quara'tun Covenant.
Ink'ar, a ruthless demigod, pitted his worshipers, primarily Githyanki and Githzerai, against one another on Ghífthauk. This was solely to refine his abilities in diplomacy and strategy. His manipulations are believed to be the reason he was overlooked during the Demon Spawn War, with Asmdoeus selecting Geryon as his second-in-command. Since then, Ink'ar has striven to prove himself a formidable strategist and tactician, with many thousands perishing to hone his skills.
Incar's final great game of chess took place on the world of Ghífthauk. During the Impar'lex War, a century-long conflict between the githyanki and githzerai, his priests lost all contact with him. A year later, the githyanki and githzerai were assaulted by a massive invading force from the nearby moon Ráglauth. The illithids of the Suellk empire swiftly overcame peoples still reeling from the effects of their previous war. Decades later, githzerai servants discovered illithid documents in Qualith claiming that the illithid deity Ilsensine had slain Incar.
