In the Demon Spawn War, Mêzelurûs confronted the demons spilling out of what she referred to as Piranoth's Folley. Transitioning from a Creationist to a soldier was a significant change for one who had, during the previous great war, the Creation War, been wholly dedicated to the act of Creation. As a Sphere Creationist in the Creation War, Mêzelurûs had focused on building worlds at a faster pace than the Primordial Lords could destroy them. In the war against the demons, Mêzelurûs adopted the role of a soldier, sacrificing her creative abilities for those of destruction. Subtle indications of her evolving perspective can be found on runes, visible only at certain times of the day and year, across the Terraces of Mêzelurûs. These runes, the Musings of Mêzelurûs, akin to the Plaques of Aphalur, provide valuable insight into the complex thoughts and events of a tumultuous period.
The process of crafting a world has become far more arduous in this new era, the Age of Gods. Whereas once a world could be forged and populated with dull sentient beings within a mere year's time, now the endeavor requires five times the duration to complete.
The reports from Bal-Kriav are deeply concerning. The demons are harnessing energy from their domain, infusing mortals and beasts with it, fashioning abhorrent aberrations akin to themselves. This can only be a perverted manifestation of Creation.
I will be traveling to Bal-Kriav. There is no need to generate any additional content at this juncture.
Mêzelurûs, some of the Musings of Mêzelurûs - "From Creationist to Soldier"
Mêzelurûs was a venerable entity, some assert predating Piranoth. Her form was unpolished, primordial. Possessing a remarkable nature energy concentration, she reveled in cultivating sapient plant-life over other living beings.
In the Demon Spawn War, the Obyrith Lord Dagon sought to carve out sector Athoreon as his own piece of Bal-Kriav real estate. Mêzelurûs was dispatched to halt his advance. For two years, they engaged in fierce combat in and around the inland sea of Mizzen. Underestimating the power of the Obyrith Lord, Mêzelurûs was ultimately defeated. Rather than have her soul devoured by Dagon's Cairn Scythe, she channeled all of her nature energy into the surrounding waters. This bolstered the ocean and the area around it, increasing the size of all creatures of animal intelligence and plants of the ocean and the jungle of Zendanul. Another consequence was the eruption of rocky spires, the Terraces of Mêzelurûs, across a band stretching from the waters of Nelthack to the foothills of Jakorek. In the Lith-Crillion Era, the wonders and lingering effects of Mêzelurûs' sacrifice led to the construction of a research lab named the Pyramid of Anti-Nature.
