The Jakorek range is a captivating array of colorful sandstone spires along the northeastern coasts of Izagunbar. These windswept peaks are buffeted from the north by the Pearl Sea, or carved northwesterly by winds sweeping up the Salzârrâk sea. The range's diverse sandstone varieties have been found in the grand columns of Atloknar, the basins of Mularûn, and even the distant High Wood Country, with verdant, russet, and golden pillars lining the great halls of Nápoldë.
In Jakorek's upper reaches are the fortresses of stone giants and the lavish dwellings of storm giants. These folk have inhabited this region since the era of the Creation War. Other more predatory entities roam these heights, the most perilous being rocs, which the giants occasionally ride, flocks of griffins, and a handful of dragons. The range's thriving goat population ensures the giants and other hunters seldom come to blows over sustenance. In the lower elevations lie the homesteads of Elderaunts and other Ivory Asylum peoples, most of whom toil in the sandstone quarries.
In the Lith-Crillion Era, these highlands served as the operational base for forces under the command of Atlas. At that time, he was a renowned mortal hero. Atlas aided the local populace against a race he deemed unwelcome in the Mortal Systems - the Lith-Crillion. Based out of the Pyramid of Anti-Nature in the Izagunbar region, the Lith-Crillion studied the land and its people, seeking to uncover ancient lore and relics. Many of these artifacts were already claimed by others, yet the Lith-Crillion resorted to often underhanded means, including the use of force, to gain access to them.
