Founded by the yuan-ti of Saknussem, the Ladies of Castration is an all-female military order with a dark past. During the final century of the Kal-Oni Empire (1016 - 1266), the Ladies were a persistent threat on the southwestern frontier. Engaged in a struggle against an expansionist empire, they employed any means necessary to achieve victory, including the notorious practice of castrating their captives, which earned them their notorious moniker. While more civilized in modern times, bound by a code of chivalry and dedicated to the crusade of Ares, the Ladies have not fully abandoned their old methods. They continue the practices of castrating enemies and taking male slaves for breeding purposes. The male captives are sent to military orphanages in DrakhĂ´r, while the daughters are raised within the sisterhood. Those who prove too self-serving or chaotic in their thinking are dispatched to the Entropic Guard.
In 1279, the Ladies of Castration joined three other prominent military groups under the Orders of War alliance. As part of this coalition, under the Council of Bile, they hold significant decision-making authority over their areas of concern; for the Ladies of Castration, this encompasses much of the Jungle of Saknussem and the coastal region of the Sea of Mourning. With a substantial naval presence hidden within the jungle waterways, and being the most rebellious sisterhood, the Ladies of Castration have faced the highest fines and punishments for acts of piracy.
There is a finite amount one can glean from military drills and simulated skirmishes. We hoist the black flag, pitting our naval forces against the pirate strongholds dotting the Buccaneer Archipelago.
