The Pyramid of Conflict, as it would later be known, was constructed in 408 LE. Like the other Pyramids of Power, it served as a research facility for the Lith-Crillion people.
Tânê 16 focused their studies on the motives and actions of various peoples. At the time of its construction, there were a number of populations in the Ma'Ohari Region whose spheres of influence were about to collide. These were the Turkûn of Felak, the Tragarans of the Tilnangau Empire (446 LE - 944 LE), and a lost demon regiment that would migrate northward to establish Orias Vaul and subsequently found the Varelay Empire. The Pyramid's researchers studied the collisions of these groups from a safe vantage point. Hidden behind impenetrable walls and cloaked in powerful magic, the Pyramid remained concealed for over a millennium, its researchers observing and experimenting.
In 2558 LE, Varelay's Psi-Core ventured into the Pyramid of Conflict. Though its occupants had long departed, reports from this expedition described the Pyramid as "alive", sustaining itself on conflict and the heightened levels of psychic energy it generates. Tragically, the explorers documented the loss of 71 slaves to regions calibrated solely to the biorhythm of a Lith-Crillion.
In 985, a Conclave wizard named Adîlkhâru pillaged ancient Lith-Crillion volumes from the Pyramid. One such text was the Izrukîn Sa Thir, a book detailing the meticulous procedure for manipulating the Web of Magic.
In 1456, the Pyramid was seized by troops serving Gorthunder. Under Gorthunder's command, the Pyramid's might was unleashed upon Orias Vual, decimating its fortifications. Then, in 1462, the Pyramid was conquered by the armies of Rax.
The Pyramid of Conflict, akin to most Pyramids of Power, serves as the domicile for Pyrmidian Ghouls.
