On 11 War March 1501 DE, an immense sinkhole, spanning five miles across and one mile deep, opened in Regadnîn. It became the gateway to a rift that connected the world of Bal-Kriav with the Sea of Entropy. During the Creation War ( 1486 DE - 8777 DE ) , this rift served as another invasion point for the Primordials. Through this inter-system rift, the primordials spilled out of the Chaos, slithering, crawling, and climbing towards the citadels of the Nawirrûs Covenant.

For centuries, Piranoth Cyst has been a recurring issue for the Covenant, one of the many unstable regions scattered throughout Regadnîn's war-ravaged wasteland. Remnants of the perilous threats from that era still roam this treacherous sinkhole.

In 209, the renowned Grand Purveyor Nindonor embarked on his inaugural expedition into Regadnîn. At Piranoth Cyst, his excavation team uncovered a shattered and mostly buried gateway at the bottom. Before being forced to withdraw from the area due to a deadly magical storm of falling iron, a living spell, Nindonor managed to discern intricate runes etched upon a broken arch. One of these runes held the key to unlocking a coffer he had procured from Aphalur. Within, an ancient scroll written in Supernal was discovered.

The victorious angels sought a means to shatter the arch and seal this gateway to Chaos. Powerful magic, divine spells, and physical assaults proved ineffective against it. Consequently, I forged three relics. When united, they may stand a chance of destroying this primordial device. The Sig Mak Gan is our sole hope in vanquishing this Entropy Arch.

With shield, gauntlet, and pick-axe in hand, I landed a dozen forceful blows. The construct fractured and splintered, succumbing to my onslaught against Sig Mak Gan.

To safeguard these invaluable items, each will be entrusted to the security of an Archangel.

Naraz-Nâru, an excerpt from an archaic scroll - "Arch of Chaos"

A Scroll of Dawn recounts that on one of Nindonor's expeditions to this region, he encountered a primal air elemental named Tuffulus. This elemental informed him that during the Creation War, the sinkhole opened into the realm of Chaos, serving as the invasion point for the primordials and their armies. Tuffulus elaborated for hours on the battles with the gods, as if he had witnessed them firsthand. He then revealed that one of the most perilous primordials to have emerged through this gateway was Nakh-Zennîm.

I have dutifully attended to his instructions and continue to execute his final directive: "All must be annihilated and restored to the realm of Chaos." Fortunately, as a consecrated priest of Arcana, I possessed the means of Recall. May all who peruse this parchment be apprised that numerous horrors from Regadnîn persist in fulfilling their last mandates.
