In 1315, deep in the heart of Limac-Nîr, the ancient Drums of Horgon were sounded. The resonance of this artifact, crafted during the reign of the Horgon Empire (159 HE - 537 HE), incited the population into a frenzy of warfare. The sahuagin inhabitants of Limac-Nîr, both male and female, even the children, took up arms, assaulting the ships and besieging the great harbors and fortifications of Paradomea City.
After enduring the devastation for two years, the Council of Nine resolved to eliminate the source. Harnessing the power of the nearby Pyramid of Merioss alongside nine Syndic arch-mages, a formidable bolt of energy was discharged from the Pyramid of Merioss into the undersea city of Limac-Nîr, resulting in the demise of most of its inhabitants.
The catastrophic downfall of Limac-Nîr triggered a monumental tidal surge, a retribution for the slaying of so many of Poseidon's adherents. Slamming into Paradomea City, the tidal wave killed over 150,000.
