In the 10th century of the Horgon Era, Baradyan's merfolk were beset by the Abâthigûreans. The Durkoth of this empire endeavored to dominate the islands and the surrounding seas. The Naudvar War brought Abâthigûr's armies within sight of the walls of Lethae. Nearly the entire population of the Tuc'hoom, a deeply religious people at the time, bowed their heads and in unison uttered a piercing underwater cry.
Poseidon! Help us!
people of Tuc'hoom, "Beseeching Poseidon"
Their patron deity Poseidon answered the call, resulting in the renowned Sundering of Ghol Markúl. During this famed attack, a hundred whales are said to have acted in unison, utilizing sonic power to shatter the island of Ghol Markúl and slay all upon it. They then assisted Tuc'hoom's six legions of Merfolk in vanquishing the forces besieging Lethae.
The merfolk of this organization diligently patrol the numerous undersea canyons and vibrant coral reefs surrounding the Harpoon Sisters islands and those further north to the coasts of Hells Womb. Tuc'hoom maintains a vigilant watch over Tildon Deep and its ever-ravenous and restless sahuagin and Merrow denizens.
Many dolphins, whales, sea lions, and other marine creatures collaborate with the Tuc'hoom in combating the threats lurking in the depths.
The most dreaded contingents of Tuc'hoom's armies are three legions of mounted merfolk, the Vibrius Plunia. They utilize hippocampi as their mounts and an array of sonic and electrically charged armaments.
