The venerable Tome, nearing six centuries in age, stands as the longest-serving member of the Council of Nine. Serving as the merchant lord of House Kineg, he spearheaded the excavation of the Ebon Bedrock and masterminded the creation of the Prisms of Worlds.
Leading up to becoming a ruler of Paradomea, Tome was the head of a prosperous merchant house that specialized in the sale of mining and excavation equipment. His family also exercised control over a number of iron and copper mines. The labor requirements for these mines, as well as the transportation of goods, were managed by two additional merchant houses that maintained close ties to House Kineg.
Born a Tragaran, he underwent a remarkable transformation due to prolonged exposure to the enigmatic Ebon Bedrock. The excavation of this otherworldly feature resulted in a unique fusion, rendering him part-machine, part humanoid. His machine half is that of a Modron. Over time, through accidents and intentional augmentation, he has acquired various grafts, replacing broken or aging parts, or enhancing his capabilities. His ultimate transformation occurred when he became a lich, upon joining the prestigious Council of Nine.
Tome oversees the Records and Legislation division of Paradomea. It is rumored that he possesses comprehensive knowledge of every law and the identity of every citizen. The latter is likely a consequence of his adept psionic abilities rather than mere recollection.
