Beldileck was a primordial aberration that fought in the Creation War ( 1486 DE - 8777 DE ) . His physique was a contorted mass atop crab-like limbs, his body covered in numerous large and small eyes and mouths. All of his attacks and defenses were empowered by the arcane, drawing energy from the Web of Magic. Beldileck's exceptional intellect, surpassing even Arcana's, was employed in constructing bridges between Chaos and the realms forged by Creationists. Beldileck created the Anaz Rift and numerous others as invasion routes against the Nawirrûs Covenant.
Beldileck also constructed the Helas Vessels. Crafting these marvels necessitated that he sacrifice a portion of himself to serve as a living engine. In the process, Beldileck spawned four minor sentient versions of himself, relinquishing 20% of his mass. Kythac Helas powers the Spire of Rioch Tetrax, Girothe Helas fuels the Spire of Neld-Rac, Shiphis Helas animates the Spire of Molakh-Búle, and Svoghast Helas energizes the Spire of Krak-Oth.
After becoming a Primordial Lord, he was assigned control over a moon that was then simply known as Orb 398. Endowed with limited Powers of Creation, he established the Beholder race as a mobile, highly vigilant security force suited to the rugged conditions of his mini-world domain. Beldileck was entrusted with this assignment due to his taint of Negative Entropy, raising doubts about his loyalty to the primordials' desire to undo Creation. It is said this taint stemmed from an encounter with the then-archangel Athena, whose weapon Salvation replaced his entropic energy with its negative entropy counterpart.
In 8200 DE, numerous beholder factions of Orb 398 revolted against their progenitor. Five years of combat between Beldileck's loyal supporters and the insurgents culminated on 19 Bliss 8205 DE, when Beldileck's immense form was magically petrified by scores of beholders acting in concert.
In the Second Epoch, the military scientists of Abhômaipeth commenced the process of un-petrifying segments of Beldileck. The reconstituted portions were subsequently utilized as the hull plates for their most sizeable class of voidships, the Abhômaipeth Mothership.
