In the Creation War, one of Thjorygg's commands was Poseidon's surface fleet. The Trident Fleet, renowned for its growing fame and power, was second only to Poseidon's formidable undersea navy. Harboring jealousy towards his junior officer, Poseidon had long ensured his subordinate's victories in the Salzârrâk. However, he subsequently reassigned his most capable naval commander to a less prominent area. Thjorygg dispatched the well-respected commander to patrol the Straiden northern coasts, including the Buccaneer Archipelago and the Pearl Sea. His orders were to capture or sink any non-Trident ship he encountered, even peaceful merchant vessels, which he considered dishonorable. Ultimately, the commander turned against those beholden to the Primordial Mandate.
In the Abyssal Release (7777 DE - 8777 DE), he engaged the rampaging demons infesting Piranoth's Steps.
In the Demon Spawn War (89 GE - 269 GE), Thjorygg was a close ally of the Quarat'un Covenant. Like during the Creation War, his leadership focused primarily on naval operations, transporting supplies and troops. While battles occurred, they were not on the same scale as the Creation War, when the seas were far more intensely contested. Designed for giants, Thjorygg's vessels were of immense proportions. They conveyed Covenant armies across Bal-Kriav's seas and along its waterways.
Thjorygg is one of those deities that does not dedicate much effort to propagating his faith. His religious following emerged from the recounting of his journeys across Bal-Kriav, legends of his strength and bravery. These narratives are often lengthy, shared around the campfires of Ice Cap, in the naval yards of Thor Har, and other locales, to inspire listeners, ward off fear, or pass the time in places of continuous toil. By the Horgon Era, his notoriety was widespread, though not numerically dominant. Still, it was sufficient for the powers that be to decide he should Ascended.
