On
4 Hollow 14 LE, in the subterranean reaches of
Raibyr, a
group of Fomorian and
their slaves established the perimeter of a settlement named
Sul'tach. Wanderers following demon clues, they were one of
the splinter groups that came with the demise of the
Fomorian hero
Borri. The Fomorian
founders of Sul'tach were all proficient in the magical arts,
the "Blazing Hand of Borri," and keepers of ancient scrolls
plundered from the demons at
Pulax. These scrolls,
authored by Zuggtmoy,
once master of Pulax during
the Demon Spawn War(89 GE -
269 GE), pointed to areas which, given enough time, would become a
Seam Portal. Sul'tach was founded near this mud lake, a place tainted by
the entropic energy, pollution of the
Creation War(1486 DE
-
8777 DE).
Sul'tach's leaders employed wealth looted from their former
slave overseer
Zuggtmoy, compensating
unscrupulous earth elementals who then violated one of
Geb's statutes, hastening a
natural process that typically requires many centuries. In
94 LE, within view of Sul'tach's Muddy Port, the Seam Portal of
Baruk-Sul was opened,
transforming Sul'tach into a port of the
Earth Seam.
