Born in the city of Zayr during the sovereignty of the Kal-Oni Empire, Lorkiee is a distant scion of the Archdevil Dispater. Like her twin sibling Pilius, she possessed an insatiable lust for power, as is characteristic of those descended from the seed of Dispater.

On 14 War March 1133, Emperor Pilius was killed by his sister Lorkiee. While many citizens of Kal-Oni viewed it as an act of murder, few understood the complex web of national, tribal, and familial laws that prevailed. The relevant law in this case was a family statute, which stipulated that internal family disputes must be settled privately, and if two siblings of the same age were vying for high leadership, any action between them would be condoned. The newspaper subsequently published this law, leading the masses to accept Empress Lorkiee as the leader of the Kal-Oni Empire.

"Both are of the same age, then any action is condoned between them," part of the Ka-Oni National Code, has long been studied. The general conclusion is that it was introduced early in the First Epoch around the time of the Purging of the Hags. With ancient scrolls in tatters, much of the history has been lost, but enough remains to point to diabolical machinations. The shamans of House Kal-Oni, then the home of Lanirûk, were identified as those willing to go to extreme lengths to prove their worthiness to their family and earn the respect of Lanirûk's older houses. One scroll states they consorted with a coven of hags deep within the tangles of Messu-Nora. There, the Kal-Oni shamans promised to find a way to enshrine this law in the books, and in return the hags would teach them the Way of the Mind. The diabolical part of the deal was that the shaman had to copulate with a hag, who was revealed to be not a true hag, but Dispater in disguise. Lorkiee like Pilius, both Gradorians, are descended from the shaman who spent a night with Dispater.

In 1140, Lorkiee adopted a more lenient stance toward cult activities, necromancy, and dark rituals. One of the groups that rapidly gained power under this leniency were cults aiming to expand the influence of Dispater.

On 3 Bloom 1266, Lorkiee perished in the final momentous battle of the Kal-Oni War. Her demise concludes House Kal-Oni's longstanding dominion of 250 years.

In 1547, Lorkiee Kal-Oni, the last ruler of the Kal-Oni Empire, was summoned back from the spirit realm. Priests of Hades, acting on behalf of Paradomea's Council of Nine, brought her back from the Hall of Hades, where she had rested for the previous 300 years. In addition to being the former Empress of the now-defunct Kal-Oni Empire, Lorkiee was also a brilliant naval commander, frequently accompanying her sailors on patrols even during her reign as Empress. The Council of Nine had her resurrected, despite the risk of her potentially attempting to seize power, in the hopes that she could help turn the tide in Paradomea's war with the Black Tide. At the time, Paradomea had suffered a number of embarrassing naval defeats at the hands of Admiral Bloodtusk's ships of the dead. Lorkiee agreed to return on the condition that she be granted a seat on the Council of Nine, a deviation from the norm, as the Council's laws typically limited membership to merchant houses. Recognizing the gravity of the situation and the need for Lorkiee's expertise, an exception was made. Lorkiee's brilliance indeed proved invaluable, as she was able to drive off Bloodtusk's attacks. Rather than being outright defeated, Bloodtusk was redirected to Vorshym, where his ships could wait for the retreating armies of the Black Tide. The Council of Nine appreciated Lorkiee's strategic thinking, which minimized their own risk by allowing the others to bear the brunt of the fighting against the Black Tide.

In 1554, at the culmination of the Artery War ( 1546 - 1554 ) , Lorkiee ascended to the position of Syndic on the Council of Nine. As part of her new responsibilities, she reluctantly relinquished her life energy, transforming into a lich on 7 Witchrite 1554.

Lorkiee persists in her position as the Council of Nine's Syndic of Defence, overseeing Paradomea's Military. Over the preceding three centuries, she has meticulously reconstructed House Kal-Oni, consistently exhibiting no inclination towards attaining absolute power over Paradomea.
