Chaos Infused is a trait or property that can afflict creatures, areas, or items. It arises from exposure to the immensely powerful entropic energy of Chaos, artifacts of chaos, the Decomposition String, or ancient, formidable chaotic creatures. The effects of chaos infusion are unpredictable in both their nature and potency. Some creatures from the Realm of Chaos possess the ability to infuse areas with chaos, and a rare few can even alter others in this manner. During the Hoof Front, the deity Tiamat confronted an ancient demon which imbued her with chaotic evil energies. Tiamat ultimately overcame the chaos, but not before it warped her into a monstrous, multi-headed dragon.
The savage chaos behemoths, such as those that accompany the Horde of Chaos, are a terrifying presence that saturates the surrounding lands with potent entropic forces, ultimately giving rise to the desolate Chaos Ruins in their wake.
Chaos rocs, the mighty predatory birds, instill chaos within those injured by their talons. In the legend Elephant Reverence, a valiant hero succumbs to the wounds inflicted by a chaos roc.
There have been numerous primordials who mastered the manipulation of Chaotic energies. One such example is the weave spider named Sarseg. While attempting to close a rift, a nearby null mine's countermeasure infused Sarseg with entropic energies. Now chaos-infused, Sarseg lost the weave spider's innate connection to the Web of Magic. Another primordial, Blibdoolpoolp, utilized entropic forces to transform divine creations into her primary followers, the Kuo-toa.
The Decomposition String is an entity that can disrupt even those of near-divine power. During the Creation War, Tarâk and the Slaad Hexos were irrevocably transformed after extracting warp matter from the Decomposition String.
Yagolorn represents a region of the realm permeated by the tumultuous energies of Chaos. At the epicenter of this desolate expanse lies the petrified limb of an ancient primordial, long deceased. This area is thought to have become infused with Chaos when this primordial was vanquished during the Creation War.
