In the year 304 LE, the settlement of Fjorm Garn was established by colonists originating from the town of Eydreid.
Following the Stone Curse (1011 LE), Fjorm Garn, which had grown too large for the diminishing populace, fell into disrepair and became a decrepit ruin.
In 1099, reconstruction commenced on sections of this once expansive city. Workers from the Kal-Oni Empire (1016 - 1266) referred to it as Alluvium Deep, a repository for the abundant silver ore extracted from nearby mines. A fortified keep, replete with well-engineered vaults and an array of traps, emerged from these mining endeavors. When the mines were depleted, the location transitioned into a prison for the empire's most perilous convicts.
After the collapse of Kal-Oni, Alluvium Deep fell under the dominion of the Alluvium Wardens. They maintained control of the site for twenty years before surrendering it in 1286 to a mercenary contingent supported by the HannanĂ¢tha, an influential family from Bathor seeking the release of one of their own.
In 1293, Alluvium Deep was struck by an unexpected seismic event that fractured numerous confinement cells. The perpetrators of this arcane assault were the Alluvium Wardens, who assailed the facility from below with the assistance of 500 deep gnome mercenaries from Slave Pen. Facing financial losses, House HannanĂ¢tha made no attempts to reclaim the compromised prison.
The Alluvium Wardens govern and oversee Alluvium Deep. Numerous offenders from Bathor, Council of Bile, and Paradomea are dispatched to this location to work off their sentences. Capable of earning funds by competing in Alluvium Deep's infamous gladiatorial arenas, many perish within this harsh environment.
In the year 1454, the courageous members of the Black Banner infiltrated the lower cell blocks of the prison. They liberated the incarcerated individuals and absconded with artifacts belonging to the original constructors of the facility. One of the freed prisoners was a Tragaran called Garn.
