Tâchumâz is a Langurâpha word that translates to Ivory Ward. Founded by the Ivory Asylum on 18 Lunar 1020, Tâchumâz was placed under the administration of a tribe that had been causing issues in their homeland of Elderaunt. Once home to the city of Rîni, the Irastâ tribe was tasked with overseeing the empire's newest colony, serving the greater interests of the empire. For the subsequent three centuries, Tâchumâz functioned as the colonial administrative capital for Ma'Ohari affairs under the Ivory Asylum.
They are consummate masters at destabilizing the surrounding peoples. They engineer a scenario akin to the conflict that unfolded between Tâchumâz and Salandirik. Those in the vicinity elect to lend their support to one side, driven by commercial interests or a desire to undermine the power of Ivory Asylum. However, they soon realize that their backing of these fruitless rivalries and conflicts was merely a ploy of brinkmanship originating from Orra.

In the Horn Tusk Conflict ( 1023 - 1467 ) , Tâchumâz frequently endured the attacks of the Ba'lith Empire. During this period, the city's remarkable sea wall earned a renowned reputation. Worshippers of Athena named it for the goddess's fabled shield, dubbing it Athena's Impregnable Bulwark. This imposing sea wall proved so formidable against naval bombardment and other siege assaults that attacking forces would instead land on shores to the north and south of the city, assaulting it from the landward side.
Like many municipalities situated along the western coastlines of Ma'Ohari, Tâchumâz is inhabited by a multifarious populace, with Tragarans, minotaurs, and Dromites comprising the preeminent ethnic groups.
In the Ivory Ward Campaign ( 1465 - 1467 ) , Tâchumâz was conquered by Admiral Bloodtusk. For the following four centuries, Tâchumâz functioned as the capital of Bloodtusk's domain.
In the Year 1800, the city of Tâchumâz was conquered by the Burterinii-Buccaneer Alliance, marking the downfall of the Bloodtusk regime, which had held power from 1465 to 1800.
The city of Tâchumâz boasts two thriving ports - one situated along the shores of Bloodtusk Bay, and the other nestled on the banks of the mighty river Ralban.
