Primordial Lord

Category Religion
Alias Chaos Lord
Type title, divine lore

Primordial Lord was a designation or title bestowed upon a Primordial leader during the Creation War, a conflict that spanned from 1486 DE to 8777 DE. This position was attained through a combination of wit and might. Primordial Lords gained enhanced powers and strength from their elevated status, drawing upon the collective entropic energy of those under their dominion. Some theologians posit that the power imbuing a Primordial Lord was a cruder manifestation or the genesis of what would later become known as divine power, where gaining more mortal followers leads to increased power. The power level of a Primordial Lord, however, is constrained by the availability of entropic energy within the Chaos system, theoretically limiting the maximum number of such leaders. Conversely, Divine Power derived from worshippers tends to increase with population growth, suggesting an infinite potential for Higher Powers.

Creation-Undoing

In the Creation War, a number of primordial factions emerged. Predominantly, these were Chaos Purists who believed the work of Creation must be undone, with all returned to Chaos. This thinking formed the basis of the Primordial Mandate. Conversely, some groups, such as the Chaos Reformists, held less rigid views, aiming solely to defeat the Nawirrûs Covenant.
